How GPS Connect works
First a GPS locator (a.k.a tracking device or tracker) determines its position using signals it receives from
the GPS satellites. Then it communicates its position to the GPS Connect's location servers via a GSM cellular
network (using GPRS protocol). Now the location becomes available for you to see on a map over the Internet and
know exactly where they [you know who] are.

Positioning
With the help of GPS technology
and a constellation of 24 stationary satellites positioned all around the earth it is now possible to
determine positions with accuracy of about a few meters (compare to hundreds meters provided by cellular
towers). Personal and vehicle tracking devices that we offer retrieve their positions automatically with
the highest sensitivity and accuracy.
Communications
Once the location information is received by a tracking device it is transmitted in real time
through a commercial cellular GSM network using
GPRS protocol to GPS Connect's location
data center. This information is stored securely in database and becomes available for you or someone you trust
to see on a location tracking web site. In most cases, the time it takes for a GPS locator to determine its location,
send it to the location server, and display it on the map is not more then a minute. This works virtually anywhere
in the world where there is a GSM network coverage.
Internet
With a simple internet connection and a web browser such as Internet Explorer or
Mozilla Firefox you can view the results of your tracking and movements on a location tracking web
server online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Location tracking web server allows you to see locations right on the map
offering an easy way to know exactly where you, your vehicles, or your folks are. It's as simple as
keeping all that you care about just a few clicks away.
